The Gaasbeek Museum Garden is a tourist gem in the Pajottenland. Castle gardens from around 1900 were the inspiration for this garden. Flemish gardeners and fruit growers were among the world’s best in those days. The Agency for Nature and Forests still applies old cultivation methods in the Museum Garden. It houses a unique collection of old and rare varieties of fruit trees, vegetables, and ornamental plants. The cream of the crop is the collection of espaliered fruit trees, probably the largest and most complete collection in the world. The magnificent Italian ornamental garden, which offers a spectacular view of Gaasbeek Castle and the surrounding Pajottenland, is the apotheosis of any visit.
Various activities are held annually, including a blossom day, themed tours, family afternoons, a Venetian parade, and Museum Garden Day.
